Friday Opening MLB Odds
(The Spread) – The second wave of Interleague play kicks off on Friday and oddsmakers have released the opening odds for tonight’s games.
Oddsmakers from online sports book Bodog have made the visiting Yankees –135 money line favorites over the Cubs, who are +125 on the ML. According to latest MLB trends, the Yankees are 6-1 in their last seven games overall, while the Cubs are 9-23 in their last 32 Friday games.
Another Bay Bridge Series kicks off in Oakland when the A’s host the Giants at 10:05PM ET. Tim Lincecum will take the mound for the Giants, who are 6-0 in their last six games against the A’s and 5-0 in “The Freak’s” last six starts against Oakland.
Roy Oswalt and the Phillies will travel West to take on the Seattle Mariners at 10:10PM Et. Philadelphia is –105 on the money line, while Seattle has opened as –105 on the ML as well. Surprisingly, the Phillies are just 1-5 in their last six games against the Mariners.
The struggling Marlins will head to Tampa Bay to take on the Rays, who are –134 money line favorites over Florida (+126). The under is 2-0-2 in the last four meetings between these two teams and 11-5-1 in the last 17 meetings in Tampa Bay.
