(The Spread) –A couple pitchers enjoying some recent success toe the rubber against each other Sunday night on ESPN as the Philadelphia Phillies host the Atlanta Braves.

According to online sports book SBGGLOBAL.com, the Phillies are -135 favorites and the Braves are +125 underdogs in the matchup. The over-under is set at 7.5. Play begins at 8:00PM EST.

Starting for host Philadelphia is left-handed Cole Hamels, who is 4-1 with a 2.66 earned-run average in six starts. Opposing him will be Atlanta’s Jair Jurrjens, who has a 3-0 record and a 1.52 ERA since returning from an injury on April 16.

According to the latest MLB betting trends,Jurrjens has a 3-3 record along with a 2.56 ERA in nine career starts versus the Phillies. Hamels has a 10-5 record and a 3.72 ERA in 20 career starts against the Braves.

In other National League action, the New York Mets host the Los Angeles Dodgers at 1:10PM EST, a day after Andre Ethier’s 30-game hitting streak came to a close for Los Angeles. The Dodgers are -122 favorites with Clayton Kershaw on the mound and the over-under is 7.

Over in the American League, the Detroit Tigers are at the Toronto Blue Jays one day after ace Justin Verlander tossed the second no-hitter in his career.
