Trout favored to win HR title in 2015
LAS VEGAS, NV (The Spread) – Mike Trout is the current favorite to be Major League Baseball’s home run leader by the conclusion of the 2015 season.
According to oddsmakers from online sports book Bovada.lv, Trout is a 3/2 favorite to lead MLB in home runs this season. Teammate Albert Pujols has the next best odds at 3/1 while Bryce Harper of the Nationals is 5/1 and the Mariners’ Nelson Cruz is 6/1. Mark Teixeira of the Yankees, meanwhile, is 7/1.
Continuing with the odds, J.D. Martinez of the Tigers has 10/1 odds to finish as Major League Baseball’s home run leader while Todd Frazier of the Reds is 12/1. Chris Davis of the Orioles and Josh Donaldson of the Blue Jays are both 16/1, respectively, while Nolan Arenado of the Rockies is 25/1. Alex Rodriguez is also 33/1, while Jose Bautista of the Blue Jays has the longest odds at 50/1.
Trout currently leads the majors with 32 home runs while Nelson is right behind him with 31. As of this writing, Pujols has 30 long balls while Teixeira, Martinez and Harper all have 29, respectively.
