Marlins drop final three games at San Diego
Miami allowed two earned runs in the bottom of the second to break a 2-2 tie Thursday night, while three more runs crossed in the fifth inning by the host Padres en route to the 8-3 final. Chen helped his own cause with a single and two RBIs before departing.

Arizona established a 4-0 lead through three innings at home versus Cincinnati on Wednesday, but allowed four runs in the fourth inning and another two in the sixth on the way to a 7-4 defeat. Patrick Corbin suffered the loss as he surrendered six earned runs on eight hits with 10 strikeouts and one walk over six innings of work. John Ryan Murphy finished the game 3-for-5 with a double, a home run and two runs scored. Paul Goldschmidt hit a two-run homer and drew a walk. MLB Betting Trends
Miami
The under is 8-3 in the last 11 Marlins games following a loss. Miami is 13-31 in its last 44 road games.
Arizona
The Diamondbacks are 7-19 in their last 26 games overall. The under is 18-7-2 in the last 27 Diamondbacks home games.
Prediction:
At this stage of his career, I don’t know if I can trust Buchholz as a starter even against an offense as weak as the Marlins’. Hernandez is a very promising young pitcher and he goes up today against a D-backs team struggling to put wins together.. The pitching matchup is at the very least a tossup and I’m going to take a shot on the underdog against a team playing lousy baseball the last several weeks.
