Seattle Mariners DFS SPIN
Eugenio Suárez homered twice and doubled Thursday to lead the Mariners past the Astros 5-1. All that production resulted in just three RBI, as the three guys ahead of him in the order combined to go 0-for-10. Suárez, though, had his best game of the season, delivering his 10th and 11th homers. He’s going to need a big second half if he’s going to hit 30 for the third straight year (or fifth straight year, if one throws out 2020. And one probably should, especially given that he had 15 in 57 games that year).
Houston Astros DFS SPIN
Corey Julks finished 3-for-3 and drove in Houston’s lone run of the game Thursday against the Blue Jays. There isn’t much to like about Julks’ exit velocity numbers or his plate discipline, but he’s now up to 249 plate appearances with a pretty nice .289 average and .751 OPS. Even if he’s likely to regress some, he’s certainly given the Astros a lift with Michael Brantley and now Yordan Alvarez absent.
