Dodgers vs. Giants Prediction
The Giants’ home opener will no doubt be in front of a sellout crowd at AT&T Park when they host their hated rivals, the Dodgers at 4:35PM ET.
According to oddsmakers from online sports book Bovada.lv, the Giants are -115 money line favorites versus the Dodgers, who are -105 to win today in San Francisco. The over/under, meanwhile, is sitting at 7.5 runs.

The Dodgers became the second team in major league history record three shutouts to begin the season during a three-game sweep of the Padres. The Dodgers outscored the Padres 25-0 and watched as their starting pitchers set a major league record with 27 straight scoreless innings to start a season.

But Los Angeles will receive a much stronger challenge this weekend when the club takes on a San Francisco team that scored 12 runs in its season-opener versus the Brewers. Alex Wood will draw the start after an up-and-down spring that saw him battle with forearm soreness early in exhibition play. He finished camp with an 0-3 record and a 7.13 ERA in five starts.
Jake Peavy had major issues this spring as well but he’s 14-3 with a 2.38 ERA in 29 starts against Los Angeles. The savvy vet won’t be overwhelmed by pitching on opening day and the Giants, whose lineup is stacked, should emerge with a victory in their home opener.
