Guardians vs. Rays Prediciton
Today’s pitching matchup is Tanner Bibee versus Zach Eflin. The series so far has been marked by two straight Ray walk offs. Every run counts as Tampa pursues the AL East crown. Cleveland will look to fight for consistency as August progresses. Which side will come out on top?

Player Spotlight
Yandy Diaz has had a great August. He is batting .325 with thirteen hits and six RBI’s. Production comes when the Rays need the most help in the division race. Yandy Diaz did not play in yesterday’s game. If he’s in the lineup tonight expect the aggression to continue.
Emmanuel Clase melted down in the ninth inning on Saturday, giving up three runs on four hits over 2/3 of an inning in a loss to the Rays. The 25-year-old right-hander came on with a two-run lead to protect, but things started to unravel quickly. Josh Lowe started the inning with a single and Yandy Diaz delivered a one-out RBI double to make it a 5-4 ballgame. Clase battled back to strike out Wander Franco for the second out before surrendering a game-tying RBI single to Brandon Lowe. Lowe then swiped second base, and scored the winning run on Randy Arozarena’s walk-off RBI single. It’s the seventh loss of the season for Clase who has now blown nine of his 40 save chances.

Guardians vs. Rays MLB BETTING PREDICTION
Betting trends show that when the Rays score they score in streaks. The totals in the series have been 7.5 and 8. The third game being set in the same range gives me confidence to trust the trend and take the over. Tanner Bibee is capable of stopping the Rays. While Zach Eflin could shut out the Guardians. But a series finale with one team needing to compete and the other waiting for the season to end inspires a bet on the over.
MLB BETTING PREDICTION: GUARDIANS/RAYS OVER 7.5
