Alex Cobb will start on Thursday against the Rockies. There were some rumblings that Cobb would have his next start pushed back to Friday’s series opener against the Cubs in San Francisco, but he’ll take the ball on regular rest at Coors Field on Thursday afternoon instead. It’s a tough break for fantasy managers as Cobb winds up with a much tougher assignment. It’ll presumably be a bullpen game for the Giants on Friday evening.

Chase Anderson posted a quality start in a no-decision against the Royals on Friday night, allowing just two runs on four hits over his six innings of work. The right-hander struck out two batters in the contest while issuing one free pass. All of the damage done against him came via the long ball — with Edward Olivares blasting a solo shot in the second inning and Drew Waters adding one of his own in the third. Anderson got five swings and misses on 80 pitches in the ballgame, registering a CSW of a meager 19 percent. He’ll carry an impressive 1.69 ERA and 0.94 WHIP into Thursday’s matchup at home against the Giants. He’s still not a recommended streaming option — especially at Coors Field.
