Indians vs. Royals Prediction
The Kansas City Royals hope to put a dent in the Cleveland Indians’ AL Central lead when the two meet tonight at 8:15PM ET.
The Royals have Edinson Volquez on the mound to face Corey Kluber of the Indians tonight. According to oddsmakers at Bovada.lv, Cleveland is a -155 road favorite today, while the Royals are getting odds of +140 to win at home. The over/under total for the game is listed at 8 runs.
Cleveland is 54-37 on the season, 28-21 on the road and 46-37-8 with the over. Kansas City is 46-45 overall, 29-13 at home and 47-39-5 with the under. Kansas City has won three straight at home over Cleveland and the home team has actually won eight straight meetings in 2016. These two have pushed or hit the under in five of their last six encounters.

Volquez has had a shaky season, but he’s been better of late, putting up a 3.38 ERA in his last three starts. Kluber is coming off an 8-inning gem at home against the Yankees, and he has been pretty consistent about back-to-back good starts following a bad outing, which he had before his outing against New York. KC hasn’t been much of a run-producer this season and Cleveland could struggle against Volquez on the road. Look for the runs to be hard to come by tonight.
