Reds dominate series finale

Cincinnati completed a three-game sweep over visiting San Francisco Sunday with an 11-4 victory. Billy Hamilton helped pace the offense as he was 2-for-3 with a walk, a run and three RBIs. Jose Peraza finished 3-for-5 with a home run, two runs and two RBIs. Scooter Gennett went 2-for-4 with a run and two RBIs. Eugenio Suarez ended the game 2-for-5 with a home run, a double and two RBIs. Patrick Ervin was 2-for-4 with a double, a walk and a run. Tucker Barnhart was 1-for-3 with a walk.

Moustakas posts two RBIs in win

Milwaukee third baseman Mike Moustakas drove in both runs Sunday afternoon in a 2-1 victory at St. Louis. He went 1-for-3 with a double, a walk and two RBIs. Christian Yelich was 1-for-3 with a walk from the leadoff spot. Lorenzo Cain ended the game 1-for-3 with a walk and a run. Orlando Arcia was 1-for-4 with a run. Jhoulys Chacin earned the win as he threw six shutout inninings of four-hit ball with three strikeouts and no walks. Josh Hader picked up his 10th save of the season with a perfect ninth inning as he struck out two.

Homer Bailey (1-10, 6.33 ERA) gets the start today for the Reds, while Chase Anderson (7-7, 3.97) will start for the Brewers.

MLB Betting Trends

Cincinnati

The Reds are 2-8 in their last 10 road games. The over is 12-5 in the last 17 Cincinnati road games.

Milwaukee

The Brewers are 7-2 in the last nine meetings. Milwaukee is 7-3 in its last 10 Monday games.

Prediction:

Bailey has been dismal this season and it’s hard to find a reason why Milwaukee won’t hit him hard. Anderson should get enough run support to get away with a couple mistakes. With the moneyline being so steep, I’m going to take a shot at the runline.
