Brewers acquired 1B Carlos Santana from the Pirates for INF Jhonny Severino. The deal is now official. With Rowdy Tellez sidelined due to a broken finger, Santana provides Milwaukee with a left-handed platoon partner for Owen Miller at first base. The switch-hitting 37-year-old slugger has been swinging the bat well of late, homering three times in his last four contests. He was batting .235/.321/.412 with 12 homers and six steals across 393 plate appearances this season in his Pittsburgh debut. It’s a solid depth addition for the Brewers as they attempt to make a playoff push
Atlanta Braves DFS SPIN
Ozzie Albies homered in Wednesday’s loss to the Red Sox. With two runners on in the sixth inning, Albies took a sinker from Brayan Bello and hit it 100.3 mph into the right field bleachers. The home run was Albies’ 24th of the season, and the 2-for-4 effort brings his slash line to .257/.319/.505 with 72 RBI, 60 runs scored, and seven steals. He’s no longer the 20-steal player he was back in 2021, but the power and counting stats atop a dominant Braves offense make Albies one of the best 2B options in fantasy.

Brewers vs. Braves MLB BETTING PREDICTION
I’m tempted to take the Brewers because Houser has pitched well (3-2, 3.86 ERA) this season and owns a 3.42 ERA in five career games (four starts) against Atlanta, but he’s also 0-3 over that span. Chirinos, meanwhile, will make his first start since being acquired off waivers from the Rays on Sunday. He received a no-decision on Sunday in his final outing with the Rays after allowing three runs in 4 2/3 innings versus the Royals. Atlanta doesn’t offer much value on the moneyline at -180, so instead I’m going to bank on Houser and Chirinos pitching well and take advantage of the 10-run total.
