Boston needs Buchholz to step up today. He has been hot as of late, posting a 1.42 ERA over his last three starts, going at least six innings in all three starts. Tomlin is on a nice hot streak as well, going with a 1.74 ERA in his last three outings. The Red Sox have only been shutout six times this season and they have responded well to that most of the time. Following the five previous shutouts, Boston has scored at least five runs in four of those five games. A prideful team like the Sox won’t go down quietly and should be ready to avoid a sweep tonight.
