According to oddsmakers from online sports book Mybookie.ag, the Cubs are -115 money line favorites over the Mets, who have odds of +105 to pull off the slight upset up 3-0 in the series. The total, meanwhile, currently sits 9 runs.
The Cubs are going to live and die on their bats and while that strategy is unlikely to carry them to the World Series, they should be able to win one of four against the Mets. Even with their victory on Tuesday night, the Mets are still just 1-7 in their last eight games at Wrigley Field and 3-9 in their last 12 games versus the Cubs overall.
Take the desperate team to win one at home before eventually falling short of their World Series aspirations.
