2011 Home Run Derby Prop Odds
(The Spread) – Oddsmakers have released player prop odds for the 2011 Home Run Derby on Monday night, where Jose Bautista is favored.

Oddsmakers from online sports book Bodog currently list Blue Jays’ slugger Jose Bautista as an 11/4 favorite to win the State Farm Home Run Derby on Monday night. The Brewers’ Prince Fielder is 7/2, the Cardinals’ Matt Holliday is 9/2 and the Red Sox’s David Oritz is 19/4. Adrian Gonzalez (Red Sox) is 11/2, Matt Kemp (Dodgers) is 7/1, Robinson Cano (Yankees) is 17/2 and Rickie Weeks (Brewers) is the long shot at 12/1.
Which player will hit the most home runs in Round 1? Fielder is a 7/2 favorite while Bautista is 15/4. Big Papi is 4/1 to hit the most long balls in Round 1, while Gonzalez and Holliday are 11/2, respectively. Kemp (13/2), Cano (15/2) and Weeks (10/1) are the long shots, although Weeks is the only true long shot for this prop wager.
Of course, Weeks is favored to win another prop category, although that’s not a complement to his talents. For the prop, “Player to hit the least home runs in Round 1,” Bodog lists Weeks as a 3/1 favorite, while Kemp and Cano are 4/1, respectively. Gonzo is 5/1, Holliday is 11/2, Ortiz is 6/1, Fielder is 9/1 and Bautista is 10/1.
For the prop, “Player to hit the longest home run in Round 1,” Fielder is a 3/1 favorite while Bautista is 13/4 and Ortiz is 4/1. Kemp is 5/1, Matt Holliday is 11/2, Gonzalez is 13/2, Cano is 10/1 and Weeks is 12/1.
Where will the winner come from? The American League is a –165 favorite with Bautista making his home in the AL city of Toronto, while the National League is +135 on the money line to represent the winner.
Will Jose Bautista advance to the second round? A wager on yes will net a bettor –250 on the money line, while a wager on no is +195.
Will Adrian Gonzalez advance to the second round? Surprisingly, a wager on yes is +115 while a wager on no is -145.
