After finishing 3-7 over its last 10 games, Washington will look to save face with a deep run in the NIT. Will the Huskies get off to a good start when they host Long Beach State in the opening round tonight?
According to oddsmakers from online sports book Bovada.lv, the Huskies are 9-point home favorites over the 49ers while the over/under is sitting at 168 points. While the side hasn’t budged, the total has gone from 166 up two full points to 168.

Long Beach State is a quality opponent. The 49ers have won 11 of their last 13 games and have won 20 games for the first time since the 2011-12 NCAA Tournament team went 25-9. They can shoot from 3-point range, as they set a school record by making 279 3-pointers this season.
As for Washington, the Huskies will once again rely on senior guard Andrew Andrews to carry them. He leads the team with a 20.9 scoring average but if he’s all Washington has tonight, Long Beach State should stay within the 9-point spread.
