According to the oddsmakers at BetDSI, this fight is even, as each fighter has been given a money line of -115 to win the title fight. These two meet tonight from the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas. The fight is the main event of a PPV airing live, starting at 10PM ET.

Lawler (26-10) is a veteran of MMA that is looking to defend his title for the second time. He has won his last four fights in the UFC, with his last three bouts going to the fifth round. Condit (30-8) is a former interim champion that is looking to win the undisputed belt for the first time. He is coming off a TKO win over Thiago Alves last May, but is just 2-3 in his last five fights.

Both men rely on their striking for the most part, but Condit is a little more diverse in his overall abilities. He has a strong ground game and also using his legs as well as his hands. Lawler is primarily a power striker with good takedown defense. He also has a wrestling background, but rarely uses it. This fight could just come down to sheer will and staying active. Condit will be up for the challenge, but Lawler hits hard and it’s hard to take his punishment for 25 minutes. Condit has some power, but probably will not be looking to get into a slug fest. I don’t see Condit getting the fight to the ground, and ultimately Lawler will do more damage over 25 minutes to retain his belt.
