Top MLS Goal Scorer Odds for 2014
LAS VEGAS, NV (The Spread) – Who will be the top goal scorer in the MLS this season? Let’s check out the odds.
According to oddsmakers from online sports book Bovada.lv, Marco Di Vaio is the current favorite at 8/1 to be the top goal scorer in the MLS for 2014. He’s followed by Jermaine Defoe, Mike Magee and Robbie Keane, who are all 10/1, respectively, while Diego Fagundez is 12/1. Both Dominic Oduro and Alvaro Saborio are 14/1.
Continuing with the odds, Claudio Bieler is 16/1 to be the top goal soccer in the MLS this year, as are Thierry Henry, Blas Perez, Chris Wondolowski, Samuel and Tim Cahill. Several players are listed at 20/1, including Diego Valeri, Deshorn Brown, Fabian Espindola, Federico Higuain, Giberto, Rob Friend, Eddie Johnson and Jack McInerney, respectively.
Some of the mid-range long shots include Darlington Nagbe, Giles Barnes, Obafemi Martins, Ryan Johnson and Will Johnson, who are all 25/1, respectively. Conor Casey, Kenny Miller and Will Bruin are 33/1, while Lamar Neagle and Robert Earnshaw are both 40/1, respectively.
The players with the longest odds to score the most goals this MLS season are C.J. Sapong, Frederic Piquionne, Graham Zusi, Javier Morales, Juan Agudelo, Kelyn Rowe and Kenny Cooper, Robbie Findley, Rod Wallace and Soony Saad, who are all 50/1, respectively.
