Cavs struggling to cover of late
CLEVELAND, OH (The Spread) – The Cavs will host what should be a tired Wizards team tonight at 8:00PM ET but Cleveland has struggled to cover the number of late.
According to oddsmakers from online sports book GT Bets, the Cavs are 6.5-point home favorites versus the Wizards, who went to double overtime last night in a 99-95 loss to the Pacers in Indiana. Washington did cover as a 7.5-point road underdog in that game.
The Wizards are just 4-10 at the betting window in their last 14 games versus the Cavs but the road team is 5-2 against the spread in the last seven meetings between these two teams. Cleveland is also just 1-4 against the number in its last five games overall and is 0-4 ATS in its last four games playing on one day of rest.
The Cavs are 14-6 against the spread in their last 20 home games, however.
