PIMLICO, BALTIMORE (The Spread) – On Wednesday, Kentucky Derby winner American Pharoah drew the rail for Saturday’s Preakness Stakes race at Pimlico Race Course.

According to oddsmakers from online sports book Bovada.lv, American Pharoah is a 4/5 favorite to win the Preakness Stakes and will start in the No. 1 post position when the field of eight race on Saturday. Dortmund, who finished third behind American Pharoah at the Kentucky Derby, drew the No. 2 post and is currently 4/1 to win the Preakness.

Mr. Z drew the No. 3 post for Saturday and is a 25/1 long shot to win the Preakness, while Danzig Moon is 16/1 and will start in the No. 4 post. Tale of Verve, meanwhile, has the longest odds to win on Saturday at 50/1 and will start in post No. 5.

Bodhisattva drew the No. 6 post position on Wednesday and is 40/1 to win the Preakness, while Divining Rod is 16/1 and will start in the No. 7 post. Kentucky Derby runner up Firing Line will start from the outside in post No. 8 and is 4/1 to win on Saturday.
