2014 Breeders’ Cup Classic Odds
ARCADIA, CA (The Spread) – The 2014 Breeders’ Cup Classic takes place tonight at 8:35PM ET and here’s a look at the odds.
According to oddsmakers from online sports book Bovada.lv, Shared Belief is a 19/10 favorite to win over California Chrome, who has 5/1 odds to win tonight. Tonalist is also 6/1, while Bayern is 8/1 and both Cigar Street and Toast of New York are 12/1, respectively.
Continuing with the odds, Zivo is 16/1 to win the Breeders’ Cup Classic while Candy Boy is 25/1. Majestic Harbor, Moreno and V E Day are all 28/1, respectively, while Footbridge is 33/1 and both Imperative and Prayer For Relief are 40/1, respectively.
California Chrome came into 2014 as a serious contender to win the Triple Crown. He won the first two legs of the TC, claiming victory in both the Kentucky Derby on May 5 and the Preakness Stakes on May 17. But he finished a disappointing fourth in the Belmont Stakes behind Tonalist, Commissioner and Medal Count.
Shared Belief enters tonight’s race a perfect 7-0 since October 19 of last year. The 3-year-old Gelding won the Grade 3 Hollywood Prevue, the Grade 1 CashCall Futurity, the Grade 2 Los AAlamitos Derby, the Grade 1 Pacific Classic and the Grade 1 Awesome Again, which was won September 27.
The Classic will take place tonight at 8:35PM ET and carries a purse of $5,000,000.
