2010 NHL Future Odds
Oddsmakers have released the odds for the 2010 Stanley Cup and the Detroit Red Wings have opened as 4.5/1 favorites.
Even though they fell to the Pittsburgh Penguins in the 2009 Stanley Cup Finals, oddsmakers from online sports book SBGGLOBAL have established the Wings as 4.5/1 favorites to win the Cup in 2010. Sidney Crosby and the Pens are right behind Detroit at 6/1.
After falling short in the Western Conference Finals to the Red Wings, the Chicago Blackhawks have opened with short odds to win the 2010 Stanley Cup at 10/1. With Martin Havlat, Patrick Kane and Jonathan Toews, the Hawks could take the next step next year.
After taking the Penguins to the brink in the postseason, the Washington Capitals are once again expected to be in the hunt next year. Oddsmakers have given the Caps short odds to win at 10/1.
The No. 1 seed in the Eastern Conference last year, the Boston Bruins, are 8/1 to win the Cup next season, while the No. 1 seed in the Western Conference, the San Jose Sharks, are 7/1 to win.
