NFL Week 16 Odds
The 2008 NFL Season is rapidly coming to a close with only two weeks remaining before the postseason starts. Oddsmakers have released the point spreads and over/under totals for Week 16.
There are many games with playoff implications on the line this week, including one in East Rutherford between the New York Giants and Carolina Panthers. The winner of this game will clinch the No. 1 spot in the NFC and secure home field advantage throughout the playoffs. Oddsmakers from online sports book Sportsbook.com have made Giants 3-point home favorites.
Another game that could dramatically affect both teams’ playoff hopes is the battle between the Atlanta Falcons and Minnesota Vikings. The Vikings hope to clinch the NFC North with a win over the Falcons and a Chicago Bears’ loss to the Green Bay Packers on Monday night, while Atlanta hopes to keep its Wild Card hopes alive. Oddsmakers have made the Vikings a 3-point favorite, while the Bears have opened as a 4-point home fav over Green Bay.
There’s another great matchup in “Big D” this Sunday when the Dallas Cowboys host the Baltimore Ravens. The Cowboys are currently 4.5-point favorites and a win over the Ravens would go a long way in securing a Wild Card berth in the NFC. Baltimore needs a win if they hope to earn the sixth and final playoff spot in the AFC.
