’09 NBA Finals Odds
The Boston Celtics have only been NBA Finals champions for less than a month, but it’s never too early to start looking at the odds for next year’s basketball season. Oddsmakers from online sportsbook Sportsbook.com have made the Boston Celtics the favorites to win the NBA Championship in 2009 at 3/1 odds.

But while the Celtics are 3/1 favorites to defend their crown next year, the Los Angeles Lakers have great odds to win the NBA Championship in 2009 as well, with their odds set at 7/2. The Detroit Pistons and San Antonio Spurs are perhaps the best value picks, with both teams having odds set at 8/1. Other good values are the New Orleans Hornets (12/1) and Houston Rockets (15/1).
If you like to throw a little action at the long shots, the Indiana Pacers, Los Angeles Clippers, Memphis Grizzlies, Milwaukee Bucks, Minnesota Timberwolves, Sacramento Kings and Seattle Sonics all have 100/1 odds to win the NBA Championship next year.
