Casino Drive Odds

If there were ever a horse to deny Big Brown a chance at the 2008 Triple Crown, that horse would be Casino Drive. Oddsmakers from Online Sports Book Bodog clearly feel the same as they’ve given Casino Drive the second best odds for the 2008 Belmont Stakes at 9/2 to win.

Bet on Casino Drive in the 2008 Belmont Stakes

Casino Drive has only started twice, but he’s undefeated entering the Belmont Stakes. He won a maiden race in Japan last year and also was victorious at the Peter Pan Grade 2 Stakes at Belmont Park on May 10. So clearly, he’s familiar with the track at Belmont Park.

Following the win at the Peter Pan Stakes, this is what managing director of Global Equine Managemnt had to say on behalf of trainer Kazuo Fujisawa on Casino Drive: "Today, he proved his ability. He had so much to overcome—only one race, more than a two-month layoff, long trip, and quarantine. He has so much potential to improve. He likes it here at Belmont Park. He feels like home. He’s an American-bred, so he is home."

Potential is the key word when describing Casino Drive. He has the potential to be great. He has the potential to knock off Big Brown at the 2008 Belmont Stakes. But potential doesn’t always translate into victories, of course. Can Casino Drive make history and knock off Big Brown at Belmont? At 9/2 odds, he certainly has the best chance of any other horse in the field.
