The Pick: Detroit Tigers Moneyline (-118)
The case for Detroit is the arm. Valdez misses bats and limits hard contact, and at -118 the price is close to a coin flip for a clear talent edge. The case against is real, though. The White Sox own the better record at 29-27, they hold home-field, and Kay has already banked four wins. If Detroit's offense stays cold, Kay can keep this close and flip the result. We side with the pitching edge, while acknowledging a near-even matchup.
