Joel Embiid scored an efficient 26 points on 8-of-13 shooting in Monday’s win over the Pacers, adding five rebounds, two assists, a steal and three blocks. After erupting for 40/13 in Saturday’s loss to the Spurs, Embiid pulled back a bit in this one, attempting a season-low 13 shot attempts and yielding the floor to James Harden, who looks like he’s back to his Houston form. Embiid has played well to start the season, but he’s certainly not putting up top-5 value, which has got to be a bit irksome for managers who drafted him with their first pick. If 27 points and 13 rebounds are considered a slow start for the star big man, we’re confident he’ll be just fine moving forward.
Toronto Raptors DFS Spin
Pascal Siakam hit 7-of-22 shots, two 3-pointers and 7-of-8 free throws for 23 points, nine rebounds, six assists, two steals, two blocks and five turnovers in 42 minutes of Monday’s 89-90 win over the Heat. He didn’t shoot it well and the turnovers weren’t great but he filled out the rest of the stat sheet for his fantasy managers. He’s hit just 15-of-41 shots over his last two games so look for his shot to get back on track on Wednesday against the Sixers.
