Brad Marchand scored a goal and assisted on another in Thursday’s 5-2 Game 6 win over the Carolina Hurricanes. Marchand did a bit of everything in this one. He opened the scoring with a wicked wrister 46 seconds into the second frame before adding a helper on Charlie Coyle’s power play tally later in the period. Then with the game out of reach at 5-1 late, Marchand took a four-minute penalty for spearing Jesperi Kotkaniemi. It’s been an emotional and physical series, with Marchand in the thick of things. The Bruins have now forced Game 7 which is set to take place on Saturday.
Carolina Hurricanes DFS Spin
Frederik Andersen (lower body) wasn’t on the ice for Friday’s practice. Andersen is still on the sidelines with a lower-body injury ahead of Game 7 versus Boston on Saturday. The Hurricanes netminder has been out since Apr. 16 because of what is reportedly a knee sprain.
