The winner of the Davey Oโ€™Brien Award as the nationโ€™s top quarterback is set to return to Clemson in 2016 and is focused on leading the Tigers back to the playoffs and finishing the job of winning the national championship.

โ€œThat was our goal — we wanted to be legendary. There had never been a 15-0 team,โ€ Watson said in an ESPN.com story. โ€œWe wanted to set a new standard. We were just a couple of plays away from [that] against, probably, they say, one of the best teams Alabama has ever had.โ€

According to oddsmakers at RealBets, Clemson is currently listed with 15/2 odds to win the national championship next season. Clemson joins Oklahoma with 15/2 odds. The only team with shorter odds is Alabama, which is listed at 5/1 to win.

Watson is coming off an amazing sophomore season where he threw for 4,104 yards and 35 touchdowns while rushing for 1,105 yards and 12 more scores. He was a Heisman finalist and led Clemson to a 14-1 record, with the lone loss coming against Alabama in the title game in which he threw for 405 yards and four touchdowns while rushing for 73 yards. He is currently a 3/1 favorite to win the 2016 Heisman Trophy.
