Cavs vs. Hawks Game 2 Odds
ATLANTA, GA (TheSpread) – Both teams are a little banged up as the Cleveland Cavaliers meet the Atlanta Hawks in Game 2 of the NBA Eastern Conference Finals tonight at 8:30PM ET.
Atlanta is 68-27 on the season, 40-8 at home and 55-38 against the spread. Cleveland is 62-31 overall, 27-20 on the road and 22-25 against the spread. Cleveland won Game 1 of the series on Wednesday night, 97-89. It was just the second win over Atlanta in five meetings this season. Cleveland covered the spread in the win, which the winner has done in all five meetings this year. Both teams are dealing with injuries as LeBron James has an ankle issue and Kyrie Irving has a knee issue, but both are probable for Cleveland. Atlanta forward DeMarre Carroll is questionable for the game after suffering a knee injury late in Game 1.
According to oddsmakers at online sports book GT Bets, the Hawks are the slight favorite at home in this game, as Atlanta is getting odds of -2 points against the Cavaliers. The over/under total for the game has been set at 197 points.
The Cavaliers picked up the win in Game 1 thanks to some hot shooting from J.R. Smith. Smith set a new Cleveland record by hitting 8 3-pointers in the game, posting a total of 28 points with eight rebounds off the bench. LeBron led the Cavs with 31 points, eight rebounds and six assists. Jeff Teague led Atlanta in the loss, as he had 27 points with four assists while Al Horford had 16 points and seven rebounds.
