Houston is 58-26 on the season, 25-15 on the road and 50-34 against the spread. Dallas is 50-34 overall, 27-14 at home and 36-46 against the spread. Houston picked up a 111-99 win in Game 2 and the Mavs have looked out of sorts. Houston has now won and covered the spread in six of its last seven meetings with Dallas and the two have hit the under in five of their last six meetings.

According to oddsmakers at online sports book Bovada.lv, the Mavericks are a very slim favorite at home, as they are getting odds of -1 point against the Rockets. The over/under total for the game has been set at 214.5 points.

Houston used a strong finish to close out Dallas in Game 2, posting a 30-19 fourth quarter to get the 111-99 victory. Issues have surfaced between Rajon Rondo and Dallas coach Rick Carlisle, as Rondo played just 10 minutes in the loss. Houston was led in the win by Dwight Howard, who had 28 points and 12 rebounds while James Harden had 24 points with six assists. The Mavericks were led by Monta Ellis, who had 24 points with five rebounds.
