Heat need a win vs. Bulls
MIAMI, FL (TheSpread) – The Miami Heat are looking to stay in the playoff chase tonight when they host the Chicago Bulls at 8PM ET.
Miami is 35-43 on the season, 19-19 at home and 33-41 against the spread. Chicago is 46-32 overall, 21-18 on the road and 36-42 against the spread. The Bulls are currently in the fourth spot in the East while the Heat are on the outside looking in. They trail the Celtics and the Nets by 1 game for the seventh and eighth spot. These two have met twice this season, with the road team winning and covering in both games, each team getting the nod once. These two have hit the under in four straight meetings.
According to oddsmakers at Bovada.lv, the Heat are favored at home, as they are getting odds of -1.5 points against the Bulls tonight. The over/under total for the game has been set at 191.5 points.
Chicago has lost two straight and three of their last four. They have also lost three straight on the road and they are just 1-3 against the spread in their last four games. The Heat are coming off a 105-100 win at home over the Bobcats, but the Heat had lost four straight prior to that to fall out of the playoffs. Miami has failed to cover in five straight while hitting the over in four straight.
