Rockets faring well in Washington
WASHINGTON, D.C. (The Spread) – The Rockets will visit the Wizards today at 12:30PM ET on ABC and Houston has had plenty of success covering the spread in Washington.
The Rockets are just 1-4 against the spread in their last five games versus the Wizards overall but in Washington, their success rate shifts significantly. Houston is 7-2 at the betting window in its last nine games in Washington and is 5-2 ATS in its last seven road games as well.
The Wizards, meanwhile, are 0-8 against the number in their last eight games played on Sunday and are 8-23 ATS in their last 31 games overall. They’re also winless at 0-4 at the betting window in their last four games playing on one day of rest.
According to oddsmakers from online sports book Bovada.lv, the Rockets are 2.5-point road favorites versus the Wizards after opening as a 3-point favorite for today’s tip off. The total is also sitting at 206 after opening at 204.
