Spurs visit Bucks, Popovich rips team
MILWAUKEE, WI (The Spread) – One night after their head coach called their performance “pathetic,” the Spurs will visit the Bucks tonight at 8:00PM ET.
The Spurs lost 104-100 in overtime last night to the Knicks and Gregg Popovich was none too pleased with his team’s effort.
“We didn’t respect the game, we didn’t respect our opponent,” said Popovich, whose Spurs led by as much as 13 in the third quarter. “It was a pathetic performance and I hope that every player is embarrassed. Not because ‘we are supposed to win the game’ but it is about how you play the game.”
The Spurs will now travel to Milwaukee tonight to take on the Bucks and according to oddsmakers from online sports book Bovada.lv, San Antonio is listed as a 4.5-point favorite. The Spurs did open as 5-point favorites before the number dropped a half point.
San Antonio is 4-1 against the spread in its last five games versus the Bucks and 4-1 ATS in its last five trips to Milwaukee. The over is also 10-4 in the last 14 meetings between these two teams when the game is played in Milwaukee.
