Clippers struggling to cover vs. MEM
MEMPHIS, TN (The Spread) – The Clippers will travel to Memphis tonight to take on a Grizzlies team that they’ve had little success covering the spread against.
According to oddsmakers from online sports book Bovada.lv, the Grizzlies are 5-point favorites over the Clippers after opening as 4-point favorites. As for the total, it opened at 197 before climbing to 198.5 for tonight’s 8:00PM ET tip off.
As previously mentioned, the Clippers have struggled at the betting window in recent meetings with the Grizzlies. They’re just 1-9 against the spread in their last 10 games overall versus Memphis and 1-5 against the number in their last six road games against the Grizzlies. They’re also just 1-5 ATS in their last six road games and 0-5 ATS in their last five games on Friday.
On the other side, the Grizzlies are 7-3-2 at the betting window in their last 12 home games and 3-0-1 ATS in their last four games coming off a loss. They’re also 8-3 against the spread in their last 11 games following a loss of more than 10 points.
