NFL Week 1 Point Spreads
LAS VEGAS, NV (The Spread) – Week 1 of the 2014 NFL regular season kicks off this Thursday night and with that, here’s the latest Week 1 odds.
The defending Super Bowl champion Seattle Seahawks open up their season on Thursday night when they host the Green Bay Packers at 8:30PM ET. According to oddsmakers from online sports book Bovada.lv, the Seahawks are currently 5-point favorites over the Packers, while the over/under total is sitting at 46 points. The Pack are 3-1-2 against the spread in their last six games versus the Seahawks, while the over is 3-1-1 in the last five meetings.
NFC South rivals square off in Atlanta on Sunday when the Falcons host the Saints at 1:00PM ET. After opening as a 1-point favorite, the Falcons are now a 2.5-point home underdog versus the visiting Saints, while the over/under total is currently sitting at 51.5 points. The home team is 5-0 in the last five meetings between these two teams while the underdog is 7-3 ATS in the last 10 meetings.
AFC North rivals will also battle in Baltimore at 1:00PM ET when the Ravens host the Bengals as a 1.5-point favorite. The total for Sunday’s game is sitting at 43 points as the under has hit in five of the last seven meetings in Baltimore. The favorite is also 5-0-1 ATS in the last six meetings while the home team is 4-0 ATS in the last four meetings.
The “Sunday Night Football” matchup this week has the Colts traveling to Denver to take on the Broncos, who are 7-point home favorites at 8:30PM ET. The Lions are also 4.5-point home favorites versus the Giants in the first game on “Monday Night Football,” while the Cardinals are 3.5-point home favorites versus the Chargers in the late Monday night meeting.
