Wizards vs. Pacers Series Odds
(TheSpread) – The second round of the NBA Playoffs get started today when the Indiana Pacers met up with the Washington Wizards.
The Pacers come into the series as the top seed in the Eastern Conference, while the Wizards are the No. 5 seed. According to oddsmakers at BetDSI, the Pacers are the slight favorite to win the series, as they have odds of -175 to win, while the Wizards have a money line of +155 to prevail.
Indiana went 56-26 on the season to win the Central Division. The Pacers were 35-6 at home, 21-20 on the road and 38-14 in the Eastern Conference. The 35 home wins was most of any NBA team and the 38 conference wins is best in the East. Indiana scored 96.7 points per game while holding opponents to 92.3 points per contest. The Pacers struggled toward the end of the season and that carried into the playoffs, as they needed 7 games to defeat the Indiana Pacers and were actually down 3-2 in the series.
Washington was 44-38 this season, placing second in the Southeast Division. The Wizards went 22-19 both at home and on the road this season while racking up a 33-19 record in conference play. The Wizards averaged 100.7 points per game on offense while giving up 99.4 points per game on defense. Washington advanced to the second round by beating the Chicago Bulls in five games.
These two teams met three times during the regular season with Indiana winning two of the three games. The home team won all three meetings this year as well, and have won five straight between these two. The Pacers and Wizards also hit the under in all three meetings this season.
