Steelers vs. Raiders Week 3 Odds

OAKLAND, CA (The Spread) – After notching their first victory of 2012 the Steelers will head west to Oakland to take on the 0-2 Raiders at 4:25PMET on Sunday.

PITTSBURGH: The Steelers got back on track with a 27-10 win over the Jets in Pittsburgh last Sunday. The win came one week after the Steelers lost in Denver on Sunday Night Football. Ben Roethlisberger completed 24-of-31 passes for 275 yards and two touchdowns, with receiver Antonio Brown hauled in seven passes for 79 yards and Mike Wallace finished with five receptions for 74 yards and one score. The win propelled the Steelers to 1-1 on the year and 1-1 against the spread as they successfully covered as a 5.5-point favorite.

OAKLAND: The Raiders fell to 0-2 on the young season when they were blown out by the Dolphins 35-13 as a 1-point road favorite. Carson Palmer completed 24-of-38 passes for 373 yards with one touchdown and one interception, but the ground game and defense were equally atrocious. Darren McFadden rushed for just 22 yards on 11 carries and the Raiders totaled just 23 yards on the day. The defense also allowed Reggie Bush to gain 172 yards on 26 carries and 263 rushing yards in total. It was an embarrassing effort by a team that struggled against AFC West Division rival San Diego the week prior.
