Texans vs. Broncos Week 3 Odds
DENVER, CO (The Spread) – Peyton Manning and the Broncos will look to bounce back on a short week when they host the 2-0 Texans at 4:25PM ET on Sunday.
HOUSTON: The Texans improved to 2-0 on the year and 2-0 against the spread as they beat the Jaguars 27-7 as a 7-point favorite in Week 2. Matt Schaub completed 26-of-35 passes for 195 yards while Arian Foster rushed for 110 yards on 28 carries with one touchdown. Foster and Owen Daniels also caught six passes apiece, as Daniels led the team with 47 yards receiving. Ben Tate also rushed 12 times for 74 yards and added two touchdowns. Houston’s defense also held Jacksonville to just nine first downs, 117 total yards and forced one turnover.
DENVER: Eight minutes into the Broncos’ Monday night matchup with the Falcons Peyton Manning had already thrown three interceptions. While Denver eventually battled back, Atlanta held on for a 27-21 victory and dropped the Broncos to 1-1 and 1-1 against the spread. Manning finished 24-of-37 for 241 yards with one touchdown and the three picks. Willis McGahee chipped in 113 yards on 22 carries and two touchdowns, while Demaryius Thomas hauled in eight receptions for 78 yards and one touchdown.
ODDS: According to odds makers from online sports book Bovada.lv, the Texans are currently 1-point favorites over the Broncos, while the over/under total is currently sitting at 46.5 points. And of the wagers currently placed on this game, 69% of the betting public currently favors the Texans.
