INDIANAPOLIS, IN (The Spread) – The Vikings will look to improve to 2-0 when they visit the Colts at 1:00PM ET on Sunday.

MINNESOTA: The Vikings earned a win in Week 1 when they beat the Jaguars 26-23 in overtime last week. Christian Ponder threw for 270 yards while Adrian Peterson rushed for 84 yards and two touchdowns in his first action since he tore his ACL last year. Despite the victory the Vikings failed to cover as 3-point favorites while the 26-23 combined score went over the posted total of 49 points.

INDIANAPOLIS: The Colts were crushed as a 10-point road underdogs by the Bears last week. Chicago dropped Indy 41-21 as Andrew Luck threw 309 yards and one touchdown, but he also threw three interceptions in his NFL debut. Donald Brown had one score as did Donnie Avery, while Reggie Wayne caught nine passes for 135 yards. The combined score for the game sailed over the posted total of 41.5 points.

ODDS: The Vikings opened as 3.5-point road favorites over the Colts but the line has dropped down to Indianapolis +1 even though 52% of the NFL public currently backs Minnesota. The total for this game is 44.5.

TRENDS: The Vikings are 2-6-1 against the spread in their last nine games overall but 3-1-1 ATS in their last five road games. The Colts are 1-6 against the spread in their last seven games following an ATS loss and 4-9 ATS in their last 13 games overall.
