Updated Stanley Cup Odds
(TheSpread) β The NHL playoffs are down to their final four. Here is an updated look at the odds to win the 2012 Stanley Cup.
According to oddsmakers, the New York Rangers and the Los Angeles Kings are now the favorites to win the Cup, as both have 2/1 odds, while the New Jersey Devils and the Phoenix Coyotes each have 3/1 odds to win.
New York has won the Stanley Cup four times. The Rangers are the top seed in the Eastern Conference and the best seed still remaining in the playoffs. The Rangers beat the Capitals in seven games to reach the conference finals.
The Kings are the No. 8 seed in the Western Conference, but they ran through top-seeded Vancouver and second-seeded St. Louis in a total of 9 games. The Kings have never won the Stanley Cup.
Phoenix is the No. 3 seed in the West and they actually beat the Kings for the Pacific Division title during the regular season. Phoenix beat Nashville to reach the conference finals. Phoenix has never won the Stanley Cup either.
New Jersey is the No. 6 seed in the East and they beat the Philadelphia Flyers to reach the conference championship. The Devils have won the Stanley Cup three times, with the last title coming in 2003.
