When it comes to the MVP Oddsmakers have made New Englandโ€™s Tom Brady the favorite to win the MVP with 5/4 odds. Other short odds to win the honor are Eli Manning (7/4), Rob Gronkowski (8/1) and Victor Cruz (10/1).

In Super Bowl history, the quarterback has won the MVP award 24 times, more than 3 times more than any other position. So, with the Patriots favored to beat the Giants, it makes sense that Brady is the favorite to win the award and Manning is second on the list.

Brady has already won the award twice in his career. In his third Super Bowl win, the award went to Deion Branch, who caught a record number of passes. Manning also owns a Super Bowl MVP award, as he won in 2008 when the Giants beat the Patriots.

A tight end has never won the Super Bowl MVP, so Gronkowski could make more history this season. Gronk caught 90 passes for 1,327 yards and 17 TDโ€™s during the regular season and he has 15 catches for 232 yards and 3 TDโ€™s in the playoffs. He is the top scoring threat for the Patriots but is dealing with an injured ankle that could limit his abilities on Sunday.

Six different times a receiver has won the MVP award. Cruz is an interesting choice as he has great potential to break a big play. He already has four catches of 65 yards or more on the season, including a 99-yard TD. Cruz caught 82 passes for 1,526 yards and 9 TDโ€™s on the season and he has 17 catches for 244 yards with no scores in the playoffs. For Cruz to win, he will likely need a big play and a couple of scores, as his stats will also add to the stats of Manning.

Super Bowl XLVI takes place on Sunday, February 5 from Lucas Oil Stadium in Indianapolis at 6:30PM ET. For complete odds as to which player will win the MVP award, see below.
