Updated Divisional Round Odds
(The Spread) – Some of the odds for this weekend’s Divisional round action have changed. Check out updated point spreads on all four NFL playoff games this weekend.
While the Saints did open as 3-point favorites over Frank Gore and the 49ers, the spread quickly jumped up to 3.5 and that’s where it currently remains. New Orleans is 5-1 against the spread in its last six trips to San Francisco and 10-3 ATS in its last 13 games overall versus the 49ers. The favorite, meanwhile, is 5-2 against the spread in the last seven meetings between these two teams. (The total opened at 47 and that’s where it remains.)
The Patriots opened as 13-point favorites over the Broncos for Saturday’s AFC Divisional matchup, but the line was bet up to 13.5 and that’s where it currently sits. The total, however, has been bet down from 51.5 to 50 despite the fact that the first meeting between these two teams sailed over the posted total of 47.5. (New England crushed Denver 41-23 in that first meeting.)
The spread in Sunday’s Houston-Baltimore game has danced around all week. The Ravens opened as 7-point favorites but the line quickly shot up to 9 before falling back down around 7.5. Now it’s back up to 9 and there’s no telling how much it’ll move before kickoff at 1:00PM ET on Sunday. According to latest NFL trends the Texans are 1-4 against the spread in their last five games versus the Ravens while the road team is 4-1 ATS in the last five meetings between these two teams.
The fourth and final game of the Divisional round will take place at Lambeau Field where the Packers are now 8-point favorites after opening as high as –10.5 at some sports books. Of the 30,000-plus wagers on Sunday’s game, 68% of the NFL betting public currently favors the Giants, which could explain the reason for the dip in the spread.
