Oregon went 7-1 in the Pac-12 and beat UCLA 49-31 to win the conference championship game. The Ducks are third in the nation in scoring this year, averaging 46.2 points per game. They also rank fifth in the country in rushing at 295.7 yards per game. LaMichael James has led the rushing charge with 1,646 yards and 17 TD’s on the season. Defensively, Oregon is holding opponents to 23.6 points per game.
Wisconsin went 6-2 in the Big Ten, but the Badgers closed the season with five-straight wins, including a 42-39 victory over Michigan State in the Big Ten Championship Game. The Badgers are making their second-straight Rose Bowl appearance thanks to an offense that averages 44.6 points per game and a defense that allows just 17 points per game. The team has been led this season by Heisman finalist, Montee Ball, who rushed for 1,759 yards and 32 TD’s on the year.
In terms of Injuries, Wisconsin linebacker Ethan Armstrong is questionable for the game with a leg injury while Oregon receiver Justin Hoffman is questionable with a head injury and tight end Curtis White is questionable due to a leg injury.
