NFL Week 17 Free Picks
(The Spread) – Check out our predictions for the finale of the NFL regular season!
The Dolphins are 5-0 against the spread in their last five games versus the AFC and 8-1 ATS in their last nine games overall. They’re also 6-0 ATS in their last six games versus a team with a winning record and 6-1 ATS in their last seven games following an ATS win. The Jets, meanwhile, are just 1-4 ATS in their last five games as a road underdog and 2-6 ATS in their last eight road games overall. The Jets’ defense and running game hasn’t been as good this year as it has been the previous two seasons under Rex Ryan and Mark Sanchez is being exposed. Miami clearly hasn’t quit on the season despite firing its head coach, so look for the Dolphins to win one more game before heading into the offseason.
NFL WEEK 17 FREE PICK: MIAMI DOLPHINS –3
The road team is 5-1 against the spread in the last six meetings between these two teams while the underdog is 4-0 ATS in the last four meetings. The Chiefs are 8-2 against the number in their last 10 games as an underdog and 5-2 ATS versus a team with a winning record, while Denver is 2-6-1 ATS in its last nine games in January. Look for Kyle Orton to exact a measure of revenge on his former team as Romeo Crennel’s defense shuts down Tim Tebow and the Denver offense.
NFL WEEK 17 FREE PICK: KANSAS CITY CHIEFS +3.5
Seahawks vs. Cardinals, 4:15PM ET
The Seahawks are just 1-4 against the spread in their last five trips to Arizona while the home team is 8-3 ATS in the last 11 meetings between these two teams overall. The Cardinals are 5-1 against the number in their last six games versus the NFC and 6-2 ATS in their last eight games in Week 17. With nothing to play for now after being eliminated last week, look for Seattle to suffer a letdown in its final game of the year while Arizona finishes the 2011 season on a high note.
NFL WEEK 17 FREE PICK: ARIZONA CARDINALS –3
Buccaneers vs. Falcons, 4:15PM ET
The Buccaneers are 4-0 against the spread in their last four trips to Atlanta and 7-2 ATS in their last nine games against the Falcons overall. The road team is also 5-1 ATS in the last six meetings between these two teams while Tampa Bay is 4-1 ATS in its last five games as a road underdog of 10.5 points or greater. This game could turn out to mean very little for the Falcons if the Lions beat Green Bay’s backups at 1:00PM ET. That’s because Atlanta wouldn’t be able to improve its playoff position in the NFC, which means it would be locked into the sixth seed whether it beat Tampa Bay or not. Thus, take the points.
NFL WEEK 17 FREE PICK: TAMPA BAY BUCCANEERS +10.5
