KANSAS CITY, Mo. (AP) – Chiefs kicker Ryan Succop can move atop the franchise list for consecutive made field goals if he hits two more on Saturday against Oakland.
After a rough start to the season, Succop has made 21 in a row. Pete Stoyanovich has the franchise mark of 22 straight, ahead of such greats as Hall of Famer Jan Stenerud, Nick Lowery and Morten Anderson, the NFL’s all-time leading scorer.
Succop was 4 for 4 last Sunday against Green Bay, helping the Chiefs knock off the previously unbeaten Packers 19-14. He also kicked the winner in overtime earlier this season against San Diego.
