2011 NFL Week 13 Odds & Spread: Raiders vs. Dolphins

Raiders vs. Dolphins Week 13 Odds

MIAMI, FL (The Spread) – Despite the two teams’ records, oddsmakers have installed the Dolphins as a small favorite this Sunday against the Raiders.

OAKLAND: Even though they’ve won three in a row the Raiders have zero time to rest on their laurels. That’s because if they look in their rearview mirror, suddenly the Broncos are now right behind them in the AFC West. Only one game separates the two teams and seeing as how Denver will play lowly Minnesota this Sunday, Oakland has to keep winning in order to stay at least one step ahead of the Broncos in the division. At least Michael Bush (668 rushing yards, 7 TDs) has filled in admirably for the injured Darren McFadden these past three games.

MIAMI: The Dolphins have yet to give up on the season despite their 3-8 record. They’re a significally better team now than they were at the start of the year, mostly because of their stingy defense. Matt Moore (1,440 passing yards) and Reggie Bush (567 yards, 5 TDs) have also stepped up and given Miami a shot in the arm, even though their status with the team is up in the air at the end of the season. The Dolphins have covered in five straight games and are coming off a 20-19 loss to the Cowboys on Thanksgiving Day in which they covered as a 7-point road underdog.

ODDS: Oddsmakers have installed the Dolphins as a 2.5-point favorite over the Raiders, while the over/under total for Sunday’s game is currently sitting at 43 points. Oakland enters the game with an overall record of 7-4 and is 4-1 on the road, while Miami is 3-8 overall and 2-3 at home.

TRENDS: The Raiders are 3-7 against the spread in their last 10 games against the Dolphins but the road team is 4-0 against the number in the last four meetings between these two teams and 4-0 ATS in the last four meetings overall. The Dolphins are 5-0 ATS in their last five games overall but just 1-6 ATS in their last seven Week 13 games. The Raiders are 6-0 ATS in their last six road games and 7-1 ATS in their last eight games as an underdog.
