NFL Week 10 Las Vegas Odds
(The Spread) – How do the oddsmakers in Las Vegas view the NFL lines for Week 10?
First place is on the line in the NFC South this Sunday when the Falcons host the Saints at 1:00PM ET. Oddsmakers from most offshore books view the Saints as a 1-point road favorite but bookmakers at the Las Vegas Hilton already have this game down to a pick’em after New Orleans opened at –2.5. Atlanta has won and covered in each of its last three games while the Saints have struggled on the road this year, posting a 1-4 mark against the spread away from the Superdome.
This will be Cincinnati’s biggest test of the season as Pittsburgh will enter Sundays game looking to bounce back from its last-second loss to Baltimore in Week 9. The Bengals struggled at home against the 49ers in Week 3, as they could only muster 8 points in a 13-8 defeat. The Steelers’ defense has the potential to be just as stingy, although Vegas oddsmakers currently list the over/under total at 41.5 points. Pittsburgh has opened as a 3-point road favorite but it’ll be interesting to see if the line goes up before kickoff on Sunday.
This is the biggest non-divisional game of the week, as the Giants travel to ‘Frisco to take on the red-hot 49ers at 4:15PM ET. New York is coming off a huge win against New England last Sunday but finds itself listed as a 3.5-point road dog both in Vegas and at most offshore books. The Niners have won six in a row and have covered in every game expect for one (a 27-24 loss to the Cowboys in which they were a 3-point underdog). Even though both teams have showed the capability to score, this could turn out to be a low-scoring affair as both defenses are excellent. The over/under total for this game is currently sitting at 42.5 points.
It’s not often that you’ll find Bill Belichick’s Patriots listed as underdogs, but that’s exactly what they are for their huge AFC East matchup with the Jets this Sunday. New England is reeling after losses to Pittsburgh and the Giants the past two weeks, while the Jets have won three in a row and are looking to overtake the division with a win on Sunday. New York is a slight 1-point favorite in this one but it’ll be interesting to see if the public flips the line before kickoff. One would think that many people would be hopping on the Patriot bandwagon this week in order to take the points (however few they’re receiving).
