Texans vs. Titans NFL Week 7 Odds
(The Spread) – AFC South rivals clash in Tennessee this Sunday when the Titans host the Texans at 1:00PM ET.
HOUSTON: Thanks in large part to injuries on both sides of the ball, the Texans are now in a two-game tailspin. They lost Andre Johnson to a hamstring injury a couple of weeks ago and are now without stud defender Mario Williams (pectoral) for the rest of the season. Matt Schaub is trying to hold things together the best he can, but his brutal interception at the end of the Oakland game cost Houston a potential win. Sunday’s game with the Titans is huge for both teams, as the Texans are now 3-3 and staring up at Tennessee in the AFC South standings.
TENNESSEE: The Titans had two weeks to think about their brutal 38-17 loss to the Steelers in Week 5. But at least they had the chance to iron out their issues heading into this pivotal AFC South showdown with the Texans. Matt Hasselbeck leads the team with a 1,414 passing yards but Tennessee has to get Chris Johnson (250 rushing yards) going if they’re going to compete for the division crown this season. The Titans are now 3-2 on the year and 2-3 against the number.

ODDS: Oddsmakers list the Titans as 3.5-point favorites over the Texans, who are still drawing public support despite their current two-game losing streak. The over/under total for Sunday’s game is sitting at 44.5 points.
TRENDS: The over is 5-0 in the last five meetings between these two teams in Tennessee and 7-3 in the last 10 meetings overall. The home team is 5-2 against the spread in the last seven meetings while the Texans are just 3-7 ATS in their last 10 games against the Titans. Houston is also 1-4 ATS in its last five road games versus Tennessee.
