Chicago is coming off a 27-17 loss at home to Green Bay last Sunday. The Bears struggled on offense, amassing just 291 total yards while committing two turnovers. Jay Cutler threw for 302 yards and a couple of touchdowns, but he also had two interceptions and was sacked three times while completing only 56 percent his passes. Defensively, Chicago allowed nearly 400 yards of offense to the Packers.
Carolina earned its first win of the season, beating Jacksonville 16-10 last Sunday. The Panthers were held to just 265 yards of offense in the game, but the defense kept the Jaguars in check, holding them to 257 yards while picking up a turnover and two sacks. Cam Newton has the worst showing of his rookie career, as he was 18-of-34 passing for 158 yards and one touchdown. He didnβt throw an interception in the game and also rushed for 27 yards on seven carries.
In terms of Injuries, Chicago receiver Earl Bennett is out with a chest injury while running back Marion Barber is questionable with a calf injury. Carolina cornerback Chris Gamble is listed as questionable with a head injury.
