Detroit got to 3-0 for the first time in nearly 30 years by beating Minnesota 26-23 in overtime last Sunday. The Lions fell behind 20-0 in the contest, but rallied to win in overtime. Despite a poor first-half showing, the Lions till finished with 358 total yards of offense. Matthew Stafford carried the team, throwing for 378 yards and two touchdowns. Stafford has thrown for 977 yards and 9 touchdowns with just two interceptions on the year. On defense, the Lions struggled to stop the run, allowing 132 yards on the ground.
Dallas picked up an 18-16 win over Washington on Monday night to improve to 2-1 this season. The Cowboys didnβt have any touchdowns in the game, as rookie kicker Dan Bailey had six field goals in the win. Dallas didnβt have a great offensive showing, as it had two turnovers with 375 yards. Defensively, the Cowboys gave up just 298 yards and forced two turnovers while picking up three sacks. Dallas held Washington to only 65 rushing yards.
In terms of Injuries, Detroit rookie defensive tackle Nick Fairley is questionable with a foot injury, as is tackle Jason Fox. Dallas receiver Miles Austin is currently listed as doubtful to play because of a hamstring injury while cornerback Terrence Newman is questionable with a groin injury.
